Philip Corcoran
Welcome. Philip Corcoran leads sing-alongs at retirement homes, and he performs at family-friendly event shows such as farmers' markets and social clubs. He sings in a folksy style while playing simple musical accompaniment on guitar or piano. Philip offers a repertoire of traditional folk songs, popular songs, and country music from about the years 1950 through 1980. Familiar music that everyone who lived through those decades enjoys and knows well. He also plays some light classical, jazz and show tunes.
Philip also sometimes performs for fun with a band of musically talented friends, called the Ash Street Cowboys, playing pop songs and classic country music. Please send an email if you'd like to sit in with the cowboys sometime. Older players are welcome. Basic music reading skills are suggested. Ash Street Cowboys is a sober band.
