Philip Corcoran and Ash Street Cowboys

Welcome. Philip Corcoran entertains at retirement homes, leading sing-a-longs while playing simple musical accompaniment on guitar and piano. He offers a repertoire of traditional folk songs, popular songs, and country music from about the years 1950 through 1980. Familiar music that everyone who lived through those decades enjoys and knows well. Philip performs at event shows such as farmers' markets and social clubs, too.

Philip also leads an amateur band of musically talented friends, called the Ash Street Cowboys. Philip and the Cowboys meet in Reading, Massachusetts, on most Wednesday nights, playing classic country music from The Real Country Book (ISBN 978‑1‑4803‑8287‑9) and other songbooks. Please send an email if you'd like to sit in sometime. Older players are welcome. Basic music reading skills are suggested. Ash Street Cowboys is a sober band.

Philip and the Cowboys host a music party each year following Reading Porchfest. (Saturday, June 27 this year.)
